The LASEFI was funded in 1984 when I started my carrier as an assistant professor at the University of Campinas (https://www.unicamp.br/). After 34 years as a professor at UNICAMP, I retired, and now I am visiting collaborating professor, my duties include advising Ph. Ds, MScs, and undergraduate projects as well as offering once a year a course for graduate students on the topic area of Good Practices for Producing Academic and Technical Papers. The course uses the PDSA (P=Plan; D=Do;S=Study;A=Act) tool adapted to scientific and technical writing.
Besides these tasks at UNICAMP, I am the Editor-in-Chief of The Open Food Science Journal (https://openfoodsciencejournal.com/) and Food and Public Health (http://www.sapub.org/journal/articles.aspx?journalid=1002). And, I am an Associated Editor to Helyion – Food Science (https://www.cell.com/heliyon/food-science/editors) and RSC – Advances (https://www.rsc.org/journals-books-databases/about-journals/rsc-advances/).
Finally, I am a partner and the Director of Innovation Projects of Bioativos Naturais Ltda (http://bioativosgroup.com.br/), a startup from the University of São Paulo.
